  • Permanent part-time role 3 days per week
  • $85-95k (pro rata)  + super + salary packaging
  • Drive In, Drive Out (DIDO) to Northam, with accommodation provided for the 2 nights away.

The Role

You will play a vital role in providing support and service coordination for young people at risk of suicide. 

You will work in clinic and in the local community, conducting detailed psychosocial and suicide risk assessments, delivering trauma-informed care in complex environments, and working with diverse groups such as LGBTQIA+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and CaLD communities.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service integration and accessibility, ensuring culturally appropriate mental health support services for individuals and families. Additionally, you will participate in community engagement activities, advocate for social and emotional wellbeing needs, and maintain accurate case notes to support effective service delivery.


Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Mental Health Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Current full membership or registration with AHPRA or AASW.
  • Proven experience in Mental Health, with a focus on Youth Mental Health.
  • Proficiency in conducting detailed psychosocial and suicide risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-informed care in complex psychosocial environments.
  • Cultural safety training or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Mental Health Accreditation or working towards it (for OT or Social Worker).
