The Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead and shape AOD and Harm Reduction services across the Melbourne region. As the AOD Regional Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving operational management of all AOD services and ensuring they align with national frameworks and best practices
  • Leading a team of dedicated service managers and professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration
  • Ensuring programs are adequately resourced and achieving outcomes aligned with client needs and funding requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with other sector stakeholders
  • Supporting quality improvement, risk management, evaluation frameworks, and local mission delivery initiatives
  • Representing the organisation in sector leadership forums and advocating for innovation and client outcomes
  • Providing strategic support and backfill for senior leadership roles, including the State Manager, as required

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A degree in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development, or a related field, and/or a business qualification with relevant management experience
  • Extensive senior management experience in AOD or social and community services
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex programs, and meet funding and compliance obligations
  • Strong sector knowledge, particularly around national AOD service delivery models and harm reduction strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to form strategic partnerships and lead collaborative initiatives
  • A current Driver’s Licence, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of all mandatory compliance training (Code of Conduct, WHS, Bullying & Harassment)
