FIFO After-Hours Remote Area Nurse

Remote Area Nurse required to provide out of hours service for NT based Aboriginal Medical Service. 

On Offer:

• Excellent Salary of $130,000 gross per annum + Superannuation
• Great work-life balance with the 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO arrangement
• Pro-rata entitlement to the annual Retention Allowance of $10,000
• Salary Packaging options: $15,900 per annum + $2,650 per annum in Meal & Entertainment

The Role:

As a FIFO Remote Area Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate after-hours care to the local Community and surrounding Outstations. Your responsibilities include offering medical advice, assessments, and emergency responses during clinic off-hours (9pm – 8am). This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative model of after-hours service delivery in a remote setting, aiming to enhance access to clinical services beyond emergency care, allowing you to contribute to shaping and evaluating a novel approach through a pilot program.

Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Triage Certificate
• Current BLS, ALS, REC (or equivalent)
• Recognised Immunisation Provider Certificate
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience post-registration, with at least 3 years in a remote Primary Health context
• Current Driver's License
• Current NT Working with Children Clearance
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check
