The Therapeutic Counsellor provides vital clinical and therapeutic support to young people, collaborating with their families, carers, and support networks. You will deliver evidence-informed interventions, conduct assessments, and support mental health, wellbeing, and harm minimisation initiatives. Working across a continuum of care, you'll assist in developing tailored care plans, support engagement, and facilitate referrals to ensure young people access the appropriate services they need.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing with full AHPRA / AASW registration (Social Workers require mental health credentialing) 
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth experiencing mental health concerns
  • Knowledge of mental health assessments and support plans
  • Current driver’s license, Working with Children Check, First Aid, and police check
  • Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience in mental health or counselling
