The Role:

As Team Leader – Youth Support Services, you will lead, coach and support a team of Youth Workers, Case Workers and a Community Engagement Officer to deliver high-quality services. You will provide supervision and performance support while contributing to the professional development of the team. The role will involve overseeing individual support and case planning to ensure positive outcomes for young people. You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers to establish effective referral pathways and partnerships. You will oversee program activities and ensure service delivery meets contractual and compliance requirements. A key component of the role will be managing engagement programs and ensuring accurate and timely data collection and record keeping. You will manage staff rosters in line with relevant industry regulations and operational requirements. You will contribute to strategic and operational planning, internal auditing and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also contribute to reporting, the development of new projects and funding submissions, and provide regular reports and briefs to management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years' management or Team Leader experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in youth and case work
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree in Community Services, Behavioural Sciences, Social Work or a related field, or commensurate experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting youth and casework teams
  • Strong understanding of youth support, case planning and service delivery
  • Experience managing youth engagement programs
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage reporting, compliance and data requirements
  • Experience managing staff rosters in line with industry requirements
  • Current driver's licence
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check
