The Role:
As Team Leader, you will work closely with the Executive Manager, Child and Family to guide and coordinate a team of Therapeutic Case Managers and Case Managers in OOHC. You will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services across foster care, aftercare, voluntary out-of-home care, adoptions, guardianship, preservation, and restoration.
The role involves providing day-to-day operational leadership, supporting staff, and offering guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure quality service delivery and permanency outcomes for children, young people, and families.
The role also includes maintaining team procedures to ensure compliance with funding agreements and professional standards, building and sustaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you may be required to carry a small caseload when necessary.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in social work, community services, teaching, nursing, psychology, family therapy or related discipline
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience, ideally supported by vocational training
- Experience delivering quality assessment and case management services to at-risk families or children and young people in OOHC
- Understanding and application of contemporary case management practice including cultural planning and positive behaviour support
- Knowledge and experience working within trauma-informed, evidence-based frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to lead robust conversations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations in child protection and adoption
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Check
- Current driver’s licence and access to a well-maintained vehicle
- Current first aid certificate
