The role:
In this role, you’ll use your expertise in speech pathology to support children, young people, and adults experiencing communication challenges. You’ll assess, diagnose, and deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs, whether it be speech impairments, stuttering, voice difficulties, or issues with comprehension, reading, and writing. Working closely with families, carers, and other health professionals, you’ll design and implement therapy plans that foster progress and wellbeing, while ensuring your practice aligns with ethical, professional, and culturally responsive standards.
You’ll also contribute beyond direct client care by preparing reports, participating in service reviews, and supporting the growth of the team through collaboration and supervision where appropriate. A key part of your role is maintaining accurate documentation, engaging in ongoing professional development, and contributing to continuous quality improvement. With a focus on client-centred outcomes, you’ll balance caseload management with active involvement in planning, feedback, and peer learning to ensure both your clients and your own professional practice continue to thrive.
