The role:
In this role, you will provide high-quality therapy services to children and their families across both clinic and community settings. You’ll deliver evidence-based assessments and therapy programs that are child-centred, strengths-focused, and respectful of neurodiversity. Your work will involve tailoring sessions to each child’s goals, interests, and circumstances, as well as collaborating with families, schools, and support networks to ensure continuity of care. A big part of your role will be adapting activities as children progress, setting and reviewing goals, and advocating for their needs within their everyday environments.
You’ll also be responsible for clear and accurate documentation, including reports that reflect each child’s progress and strengths. Time management is key, as you’ll balance direct therapy with administrative tasks, professional development, and team collaboration. You’ll contribute to a supportive team culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring less experienced colleagues, and engaging in ongoing learning. Upholding values of evidence-based practice, child-centred play, and respect for diversity, you’ll ensure therapy is safe, affirming, and impactful for every child you support.
