The role:
As a Sexual Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive sexual health and blood-borne virus prevention and care services across remote communities.
Working closely with the Primary Health Care Team and Sexual Health Coordinator, you will provide clinical leadership, education, and health promotion. You will support program planning, coordinate service delivery based on local health needs, and participate in data collection and quality improvement projects. This role involves remote travel to various locations and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care quality and community engagement.
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Understanding of Aboriginal cultural values and commitment to culturally safe care
- Current or ability to obtain NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Criminal History Check
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination (three doses)
- Valid NT Manual Driver’s Licence or ability to obtain
- Availability to travel to remote communities by road and light aircraft
- Knowledge of CARPA guidelines and experience or willingness to lead in sexual health service delivery
