The role:
Based at the Manayingkarirra Primary Health Care Centre, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive primary health care to the Maningrida community and surrounding outstations. Your responsibilities will include patient care coordination, health promotion, and supporting community workers. You will ensure clinical best practices are upheld while contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to engage deeply with a remote Indigenous community and make a meaningful difference.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience, including 3 years in remote primary health care
  • Current Advanced Life Support and Remote Emergency Care certifications
  • Current driver’s license and appropriate clearances (NT Working with Children, Ochre Card)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; cultural sensitivity or willingness to learn
  • Commitment to primary health care principles and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
