Make a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of children under five in a vibrant remote community in the NT. 

On offer:
  • Competitive salary range of $128,559 - $143,630 per annum (N4 level) plus 12% superannuation
  • Salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 plus additional meal and entertainment packaging
  • Fully subsidised accommodation including utilities
  • Generous leave entitlements: 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading, 2 weeks Christmas leave, personal leave, and paid study leave

  • Possible FIFO option if you can't commit to full-time life in Arnhemland - would need to be at least 6 weeks on per swing.  Travel and accommodation would be provided, but no travel allowance.


The role:

You will lead clinic-based child health services as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing high-quality prevention, treatment, and follow-up care for children under five. Your focus includes managing client lists, coordinating outreach services, and ensuring timely health interventions for acute and chronic conditions. Collaboration with community workers, the Healthy Under 5’s program, and schools is key to delivering comprehensive, culturally safe care that meets community health needs.

You will also participate in health promotion activities, assist with program planning, maintain up-to-date client records, and support continuous quality improvement in line with organisational goals.


Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA practicing certificate
  • Postgraduate qualifications or relevant experience in child health
  • Advanced Life Support, Remote Emergency Care, Paediatrics Emergency Care certification
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience, with at least 3 years in remote primary health care
  • Current driver’s license, NT Ochre card, and satisfactory criminal history check
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and cultural competency skills
