On offer
  • Contractor opportunity within an established psychology practice based in Melbourne CBD
  • 60% of billable fees paid to the Psychologist, with the practice managing administration, billing and operational support
  • Flexible working arrangements, with the ability to work up to 4 days per week
  • Ideally 3 days in the Melbourne CBD practice and 1 day telehealth, with some flexibility around the split for the right person
  • Flexible start and finish times across Monday to Friday, with Saturday availability also considered
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse client base across a broad range of presentations and age groups
  • Professional environment with a supportive and experienced team
  • Access to clinical supervision and professional support
  • Opportunity to join a growing practice with plans to expand its psychology team over the coming months
The role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered or Clinical Psychologist to join a well-established psychology practice located in Melbourne CBD.
The practice works with a diverse client base across all age groups, with approximately 70% adult and 30% clients under 18. The client base is highly varied, providing an opportunity for a Psychologist to work across a broad range of presentations and backgrounds.
The successful Psychologist will have a strong background in complex trauma and be confident working with clients presenting with complex and often multifaceted needs.
The practice is ideally seeking Psychologists who enjoy working collaboratively within a practice environment and want the flexibility of combining face-to-face clinical work with telehealth. The preference is for Psychologists to spend the majority of their time working from the CBD practice, with a typical arrangement of three days in the office and one day telehealth.
Working arrangements are flexible, with Psychologists able to work up to four days per week and flexibility around start and finish times. The practice understands the importance of having dedicated time for administration and is structured to support Psychologists with the non-clinical aspects of their workload.
The practice is continuing to grow and is looking to add several Psychologists to the team over the coming months, making this an excellent opportunity to join at an exciting stage of its development.
Requirements
  • Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Registered Psychologists should have approximately 2–3 years' post-registration experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex trauma
  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
  • Experience working with adults; experience working with children and adolescents is highly regarded
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Must hold and operate under an ABN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a practice environment
  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, client-centred psychological services
