The Role

Our client is seeking a Psychologist to deliver high-quality psychological assessment, intervention and consultation to children, adolescents and their families.

The role has a strong focus on play-based therapeutic approaches for children and developmentally appropriate interventions for adolescents. You will support individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, behavioural presentations and mental health needs, delivering holistic, goal-oriented care aligned with NDIS plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and providing diagnostic clarification

  • Delivering individualised, evidence-based therapeutic interventions

  • Developing therapeutic goals aligned with participant NDIS plans

  • Writing comprehensive psychological and NDIS reports

  • Collaborating with Behaviour Support Practitioners, implementing providers, Speech Pathologists, families and educators

  • Ensuring ethical, high-quality service delivery in line with AHPRA and NDIS requirements

  • Contributing to program and resource development within the allied health team

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology

  • Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience working with children and adolescents with developmental and/or mental health conditions

  • Experience delivering therapy and writing reports within the NDIS framework

  • Strong understanding of developmental disorders, trauma-informed care and neuro-affirming practice

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

Highly regarded:

  • Behaviour Support experience or willingness to register as a Behaviour Support Practitioner

  • Additional training in Behaviour Support, ABA, educational or therapeutic interventions

Compliance requirements:

  • Working with Children Check

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Driver’s Licence

  • First Aid & CPR

  • Relevant vaccination and infection control compliance
