The Role
Working as part of our client’s community and clinic-based team, the Psychologist will provide a comprehensive range of mental health and behavioural services designed to support individuals living with disability, seniors, and people requiring rehabilitation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological and functional assessments.
- Developing evidence-based intervention plans, care plans and behavioural support strategies.
- Creating detailed, high-quality clinical reports and documentation.
- Delivering interventions that enhance functional, social, emotional and behavioural outcomes.
- Completing functional behaviour assessments, gathering behaviour data and developing Positive Behaviour Support plans (with and without restrictive practices) for clients with disability.
- Collaborating effectively with clients, families, carers, clinical supervisors, team coordinators and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Ensuring continuity of care through follow-up, review and modification of interventions as client needs evolve.
- Educating clients and carers to support wellbeing, independence and ongoing progress.
- Working in alignment with WHS requirements, confidentiality standards and relevant legislation.
- Meeting KPI expectations, maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Psychology.
- Registration with AHPRA .
- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
- Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C).
- Willingness to undertake any mandatory training at commencement.
- Ability to provide services across community settings, clinics and telehealth.
- Clearances including:
- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
