The Role
Our client is seeking a Provisional Psychologist to deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions to job seekers, while also supporting Employment Services providers in achieving return-to-work outcomes.
This role offers a mix of clinical and vocational work, including:
- Conducting intake assessments and contributing to critical incident support under supervision
- Delivering tailored, evidence-based interventions for individuals or groups, working across the lifespan from teens to older adults
- Completing vocational assessments and interventions to improve job readiness, such as resume building, interview skills, and work goal setting
- Producing timely, accurate reports with practical recommendations for return-to-work plans
- Engaging with employment consultants, business managers, and local health professionals to ensure cohesive support for job seekers
- Participating in mental health awareness sessions and monthly case review meetings
Performance expectations include supporting strong return-to-work outcomes, maintaining low non-attendance rates, and meeting quality standards for written reports with supervision guidance.
Requirements
- Provisional AHPRA registration with a commitment to achieving full registration
- Interest or experience in evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions
- Skills or aptitude in vocational rehabilitation, work readiness, and job-person-environment fit assessments
- Clear, concise report-writing abilities with a focus on actionable recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with employment services and allied health professionals
- Self-managed, flexible, and compassionate, with a commitment to ethics and continuous learning
