In this Team Leader Occupational Therapist position based in Wyndham Vale, you will step into a key leadership role within a growing, neuroaffirming multidisciplinary clinic supporting children and young people. Working 4 to 5 days per week with flexible arrangements across Monday to Saturday, you will guide and support a team of therapists while maintaining a reduced paediatric NDIS caseload. You will provide day to day leadership, hold monthly one to one meetings focused on wellbeing and development, contribute to performance reviews and goal setting, and play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and induction. Alongside this, you will help shape policies, procedures, and internal processes, liaise with senior leadership around resourcing and staffing needs, and foster an inclusive, psychologically safe culture grounded in connection and reflective practice.
Clinically, you will deliver neuroaffirming, relationship based therapy to children and young people aged 2 to 18, completing assessments, reports, and stakeholder liaison with families and schools as required. You will also contribute to operational leadership by supporting school holiday programs, group services, quality improvement initiatives, and cross disciplinary collaboration. With a maximum of three clients per day in the Team Leader structure and a 90 minute appointment model that includes protected time for documentation and planning, you will be set up to lead sustainably while still engaging in meaningful clinical work. Your background in paediatrics and or NDIS settings, combined with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in mentoring and supporting other clinicians, will allow you to build a high performing, values led team environment
