  • Excellent salary: $80,000 - $100,000 plus super
  • Full-time or Part-time opportunities (min 3 days)
  • Opportunity for a Contractor positions (40%-60% split DOE)
  • Support young people utilizing a neuroaffirming practice
  • Support young people through clinic based sessions and in local schools (within 5km)
  • Below market average billables: 22.5 hours per week
  • Opportunity to earn bonuses: 20% of billable rate
  • Flexibility to manage your own calendar

The role:
You will support children and young people to build the skills they need to participate more confidently in everyday life through person and family centred Occupational Therapy. Working within a neurodiversity affirming and strength based framework, you will collaborate closely with families to understand each child’s strengths, goals and areas of development. Through the use of appropriate assessments and clinical reasoning, you will identify meaningful intervention strategies and deliver evidence based therapy that supports functional outcomes for the child within their daily environments.

You will work as part of a close knit multidisciplinary team alongside Psychology and Speech Pathology professionals, contributing to a collaborative and holistic model of care. The role will involve delivering therapy across a mix of settings including the clinic, schools, kindergartens and the wider community. You will engage with families, educators and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for each young person while continually applying best practice approaches that prioritise the needs, wellbeing and long term development of the child and their support network.

Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • Valid NDIS Check, WWCC and Police Check
  • Experience utilizing a neuroaffirming approach in support paediatric clients
