The Role:
The Building & Maintenance Operations Manager will lead and manage all aspects of renovation and maintenance projects, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and the highest standards of workmanship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all building operations, including repairs, renovations, budgeting, and contractor performance
- Leading, mentoring, and coordinating trades, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
- Developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance client satisfaction and business performance
- Managing relationships with clients, NDIS participants, property managers, and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, building codes, and company safety protocols
- Monitoring budgets, procurement activities, and cost controls to optimise project outcomes
- Conducting site inspections, managing defect rectifications, and ensuring quality control
- Supporting tenders, quotes, and contract negotiations
- Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to strategic growth initiatives
This role is instrumental in ensuring high performance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of exceptional outcomes for clients and partners.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building, construction, or property maintenance management
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance frameworks
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in job management and reporting systems
- Sound understanding of NDIS and Aged Care quality standards (desirable)
- White Card and relevant trade or construction background
- Current National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Full Australian working rights and at least two COVID-19 vaccinations
- Occasional travel to project sites
- Must hold a current full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
