The role:
This position focuses on providing occupational therapy support to children, young people and adults to build independence and participation in everyday life. The role involves completing assessments, identifying functional needs and goals, and developing individualised therapy plans. Interventions may include skill development, capacity building and recommendations for assistive technology or environmental modifications. Progress monitoring and clear, timely report writing support positive outcomes and funding requirements. All practice is participant focused, grounded in choice, rights and dignity, and delivered in line with NDIS requirements, Child Safe Standards and professional standards.

The role builds strong, respectful relationships with participants and the people important to them, including families, carers and other professionals. Communication is clear and adapted to different ages, cultures and abilities. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment is central, with a focus on strengths, flexibility and continuous improvement. Through reflective practice and sound clinical judgement, the role supports participants to increase independence, confidence and quality of life while maintaining safe, ethical and effective practice.

Essential Criteria
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
  • AHPRA registration
  • Valid NDIS Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Check
