The role:
This role focuses on supporting people to build independence, confidence and everyday life skills through occupational therapy. The position involves assessing individual needs and goals, delivering practical therapy supports and recommending strategies or equipment to support participation at home, in the community, at work and in education. Assessments, therapy planning, intervention delivery and clear report writing are key parts of the role, with all practice grounded in a participant focused approach that respects choice, rights and dignity and aligns with NDIS requirements, Child Safe Standards and professional standards.
The role works closely with participants and the people important to them to build positive, trusting relationships. Communication is clear, respectful and adapted to different ages, cultures and abilities. Collaboration with families, carers and other professionals is central, with a strong focus on strengths and progress towards goals. Ongoing feedback, flexibility and a commitment to promoting health, wellbeing and independence support participants to feel confident, heard and empowered in their daily lives.
Essential Criteria- Minimum Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or relevant discipline
- AHPRA registration
- Valid NDIS Check
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check
