The Role
In this role, you will provide vital occupational therapy services to paediatric clients within remote Aboriginal communities. Based in Newman with regular travel to outlying areas for extended visits, you will deliver culturally sensitive, tailored interventions that support children’s development, self-regulation, and school readiness.
Working closely with allied health professionals and educators, you’ll assess and implement individual and group programs, while engaging families and community members to promote positive childhood outcomes in a respectful and collaborative way.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy & AHPRA Registration
- Prior experience working in paediatrics, ideally in remote settings but not essential
- Understanding of cultural safety in Aboriginal communities
- Willingness to travel and live in remote communities
- Valid driver’s license and required clearances
