As an Occupational Therapist in Aged Care, you will partner closely with clients, families, and care teams to assess needs and design tailored therapy and rehabilitation plans for people in both community and residential settings.
Your work will focus on optimising physical and cognitive function, improving daily living activities, and enhancing overall quality of life. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, provide education on assistive technologies, and coordinate resources to deliver cost-effective, compassionate care in line with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
- Experience in aged care or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Occupational Health and Safety, and accreditation standards
- Proficiency in client management systems and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between locations
- National Police Clearance
- Ability to work independently and within a team while coaching staff and students
