The role:
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a motivated, high-performing nursing team. You’ll oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and foster a positive workplace culture where staff feel supported and empowered. Your expertise in change management and accreditation processes will be crucial as you lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage day-to-day challenges. This role demands a leader who can navigate complex healthcare environments with confidence and compassion, while maintaining a sharp focus on patient care excellence.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Experience in a leadership role within nursing
- Advanced Life Support Certification or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, NSQHS Standards, and accreditation processes
- Strong skills in conflict resolution and team management
- Postgraduate qualifications in nursing, remote and isolated nursing, gerontology, or management (completed or in progress) highly desirable
