The role:

Curamoir Healthcare is seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join a national Not-for-Profit delivering psychological treatment services to residents living in aged care facilities. In this role, you will provide specialist counselling and evidence-based interventions to older adults, promoting mental health recovery and wellbeing within residential care environments.

You will manage a clinical caseload, provide assessments, and collaborate closely with internal and external providers to ensure coordinated and person-centred care. The role includes maintaining timely clinical documentation, participating in supervision, and contributing to continuous service improvement through collaboration and community engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in mental health, trauma-informed care, and working with older adults from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, or a related discipline
  • Relevant registration or professional membership
  • Experience providing counselling or psychological interventions for adults with complex mental health needs
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities including ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and brief interventions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with cultural competency when working with diverse groups including First Nations Australians and LGBTIQ+ communities
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Working With Children Check
  • National Police Check
