The Role
Our client, a respected provider of relationship and community services across the Midwest, is seeking expressions of interest for a Manager Housing First Support Services (HFSS) to join their Geraldton-based team.
The HFSS program supports people experiencing rough sleeping to access and sustain safe, stable housing. Working in partnership with the WA Alliance to End Homelessness and local services, HFSS provides tailored, wraparound supports to help participants rebuild their lives and maintain long-term tenancies.
As HFSS Manager, you will lead a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, and drive service quality, innovation, and improvement. The role also involves strong community engagement, partnership building, and advocacy to support lasting outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support staff and volunteers delivering personcentred services.
- Manage dayto-day operations of the Housing First Support Service.
- Drive strategy, service development, and quality improvement.
- Build effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, AOD, or a related field.
- Current (or ability to obtain) WA Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, or with lived experience relating to mental health, AOD, or complex trauma.
- Understanding of issues impacting First Nations peoples, including intergenerational trauma and cultural obligations.
- Proven experience leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of local homelessness, housing, and mental health services.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and client databases (SHIP experience desirable).
- Experience in clinical governance, policy and practice improvement.
