As Facility Manager based in beautiful Port Douglas, you will be the driving force behind delivering exceptional aged care services. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the centre meets all regulatory requirements, and fostering a respectful, safe, and dignified environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
In this leadership position, you’ll manage multidisciplinary teams, work collaboratively with key stakeholders, and maintain adherence to Aged Care Quality Standards. Your strategic mindset will be vital in achieving or exceeding operational budgets and occupancy targets while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
Your role extends beyond administration to nurturing a workplace culture that respects diversity, values collaboration, and prioritizes resident well-being and choice. With access to support from clinical, HR, finance, and scheduling teams, you can focus on creating positive outcomes for all.
You will need:- Proven experience as a Facility or Centre Manager in aged care (3–5 years highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of Aged Care legislation and compliance requirements
- Registered Nurse qualifications with current AHPRA registration (highly desirable)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Management or Business (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse workforce teams effectively
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Current National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Up-to-date compulsory training including Code of Conduct, WHS, Bullying & Harassment
- Current influenza vaccination and minimum two doses of COVID-19 vaccination
- Working With Children Check if applicable
Experience working with Indigenous communities or in culturally sensitive environments is highly regarded.
