The Role:
The client are seeking a Domestic Family Sexual Violence Worker to provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support, advocacy, and case management to people and their children impacted by DFSV.
In this role you will deliver information and referrals, develop and maintain client support plans, coordinate with key stakeholders and internal clinic staff, and contribute to sector capacity-building through community engagement activities. You will uphold strict confidentiality, maintain accurate client records and reporting for funding requirements, and work in line with CAHS policies and safety procedures (including approved outreach/home visiting processes).
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma of Community Services (or equivalent relevant qualification)
- Demonstrated understanding of DFSV support, including risk assessment, safety planning, crisis work, case management, and advocacy
- Proven ability to work in a culturally safe, trauma-informed manner, recognising factors impacting client choices (e.g., trauma impacts, cultural considerations, financial concerns)
- Knowledge of, and ability to engage with, government and non-government services supporting DFSV victim-survivors
- Experience working in a community setting, clinical environment, and/or Aboriginal organisation
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider clinical team
- Experience maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reports
- Commitment to confidentiality, professional integrity, and client-centred practice
- Current NSW Driver Licence
