The role:
As the Community Services Manager, you will provide operational leadership and direction for youth mental health programs spanning the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter New England, and Mid-North Coast regions. Reporting to the Director, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality, compliant services aligned with organisational strategy. Your role includes overseeing day-to-day operations, workforce development, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will champion a culture of safety, wellness, and social justice while ensuring responsive, client-focused service delivery.

Requirements:
  • Graduate qualification in Social Welfare, Social Work, or Psychology
  • Current registration with relevant professional body (AHPRA/AASW)
  • Proven leadership experience in human services management
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid certificate, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check
  • Strong skills in service development, team leadership, and budget management
