The Role

Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment is partnering with a leading NFP, a highly regarded, values-driven community organisation delivering a broad range of services across NSW.

We are seeking a full-time Clinician to join the team in Blacktown. In this hands-on position, you will work within the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program, providing assessment and therapeutic support to children, young people and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments for children and young people in Out of Home Care

  • Developing and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs

  • Supporting families, carers and stakeholders to enhance placement stability and wellbeing

  • Facilitating access to appropriate community resources and external support services

  • Implementing parenting programs where appropriate

  • Developing Behaviour Management Plans (where required)

  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

  • Delivering training and support to staff and carers as needed

  • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with relevant standards

This role will see you working with children and young people presenting with complex behaviours, trauma backgrounds and diverse support needs.

Criteria

  • Registered Psychologist or Social Worker eligible for membership with the AASW (or related discipline)

  • Strong clinical assessment skills

  • Experience supporting families, preferably within an Out of Home Care setting

  • Experience working with children and young people with complex or challenging behaviours

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement therapeutic interventions

  • Familiarity with, and preferably experience implementing, Parenting Programs

  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively

  • Ability to work flexible hours when required

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • Valid Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo relevant pre-employment checks

Desirable:

  • Experience within foster care / Out of Home Care

  • Experience developing and implementing Behaviour Management Plans

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

  • Experience delivering training to staff and clients

  • Strong skills in providing services to both adults and children
