The Role
Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment is partnering with a leading NFP, a highly regarded, values-driven community organisation delivering a broad range of services across NSW.
We are seeking a full-time Clinician to join the team in Blacktown. In this hands-on position, you will work within the Out of Home Care (OOHC) program, providing assessment and therapeutic support to children, young people and families.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments for children and young people in Out of Home Care

Developing and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs
-
Supporting families, carers and stakeholders to enhance placement stability and wellbeing
-
Facilitating access to appropriate community resources and external support services
-
Implementing parenting programs where appropriate
-
Developing Behaviour Management Plans (where required)
-
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
-
Delivering training and support to staff and carers as needed
-
Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with relevant standards
This role will see you working with children and young people presenting with complex behaviours, trauma backgrounds and diverse support needs.
Criteria
-
Registered Psychologist or Social Worker eligible for membership with the AASW (or related discipline)
-
Strong clinical assessment skills
-
Experience supporting families, preferably within an Out of Home Care setting
-
Experience working with children and young people with complex or challenging behaviours
-
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement therapeutic interventions
-
Familiarity with, and preferably experience implementing, Parenting Programs
-
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
-
Ability to work flexible hours when required
-
Current Driver’s Licence
-
Valid Working with Children Check and willingness to undergo relevant pre-employment checks
Desirable:
-
Experience within foster care / Out of Home Care
-
Experience developing and implementing Behaviour Management Plans
-
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

Experience delivering training to staff and clients
-
Strong skills in providing services to both adults and children
