Improve mental health outcomes for young people and their families as a CNS - Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

The role:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will coordinate and conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments for children and adolescents (0-17 years), including crisis and brief interventions. You will manage complex cases, offer clinical consultation, and develop mental health prevention programs in partnership with community stakeholders.

The role involves acting as a clinical resource, liaising with schools, hospitals, and other support services, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and quality management processes. You will also provide educational support to other health professionals and community organisations, ensuring high-quality care aligned with best practice standards.

Requirements:
  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Proven experience in community mental health nursing, particularly in triage, assessment, and case management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Eligible to work in Australia
