The role:
As Clinical Care Manager, you will be the driving force behind delivering high-quality clinical and person-centred care within residential aged care settings. You’ll lead, mentor, and inspire a team of dedicated clinical staff while ensuring medication management, care planning, evaluation, and compliance meet and exceed Aged Care Quality and Accreditation Standards. Your leadership will shape a workplace culture focused on wellness, engagement, and continuous improvement.
You will manage clinical services to meet resident needs and maintain strong relationships with families, allied health professionals, and the wider care team. Your role includes overseeing admissions and discharges, managing clinical budgets, resourcing clinical rosters, and maintaining compliance with legislative and accreditation requirements. By championing innovation and collaboration, you’ll help guide the strategic direction and growth of the aged care service.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Proven management experience within the aged care sector
- In-depth knowledge of the Department of Social Services’ roles and functions
- Strong understanding of Accreditation Standards and continuous improvement practices
- Experience managing clinical teams and liaising with allied health professionals
- Valid Police Check and/or NDIS clearance (as required)
Nice to have:
- Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation and strong computer literacy
- Skills in clinical education and staff development
- Experience managing budgets
- Valid Queensland Driver’s Licence
