The role:
As a Care Manager, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional clinical care to residents, ensuring compliance with current best practices and regulatory standards. You will plan and delegate duties, monitor care outcomes, and drive continuous improvement within the facility. Your leadership will foster a caring, cohesive team environment, supporting staff and residents alike. Additionally, you will manage resources efficiently, contribute to policy development, and liaise with external providers to enhance service quality.
Your daily responsibilities include assessing and managing resident care plans, leading accreditation and quality initiatives, and being a key contact during emergencies. Your role is pivotal in upholding a safe, respectful, and innovative workplace that aligns with professional nursing standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (RN) or Degree in Nursing (EN) for Victorian hostels
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential aged care
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Act standards and clinical nursing practice
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain
Desirable:
- Previous nursing management experience
- Involvement in accreditation processes
