The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality behaviour support services to individuals with disability under the NDIS. You will conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based positive behaviour support plans tailored to individual needs. The role involves implementing and reviewing interventions to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life. You will work collaboratively with families, support teams, and allied health professionals to ensure consistent and effective support strategies. A key component of the role is identifying and reducing restrictive practices through proactive and ethical approaches. You will also provide supervision and guidance to junior practitioners, supporting their clinical development. The position requires strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and compliance with NDIS behaviour support frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking to step into a leadership-focused clinical role.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related allied health field
  • Professional registration where applicable
  • Demonstrated experience in behaviour support within the NDIS
  • Experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing PBS plans
  • Strong understanding of restrictive practices and relevant legislation
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Working With Children Check & National Police Check
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report writing skills
