The Role
You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to NDIS participants with complex needs, with a strong focus on paediatric clients. The role primarily involves working with children and young people across school and community settings. You will conduct functional and skills-based assessments to inform tailored, person-centred interventions. You will develop both Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans aligned with NDIS requirements. A key focus will be working collaboratively with families, educators, support workers, and other stakeholders to implement strategies effectively. You will provide coaching, modelling, and ongoing support to build capacity across support networks. The role also involves designing skill-building programs to improve communication, independence, and emotional regulation across different developmental stages and age groups. You will monitor progress through data collection and adjust interventions based on outcomes. Additionally, you will contribute to restrictive practice reduction, reporting, and continuous clinical improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core, Proficient or Advanced)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, OT, Education, Behavioural Science)
- Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support and/or ABA-informed interventions
- Demonstrated experience developing NDIS-compliant Behaviour Support Plans
- Strong understanding of functional assessment and behaviour analysis
- Experience coaching stakeholders (families, schools, support workers)
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Knowledge of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements (including restrictive practices)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check & Police Check
- Current Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
