The Role:
As a full-time Aged Care Registered Nurse, you will provide holistic, culturally appropriate nursing care to Aboriginal Elders at a unique community-led aged care facility. Reporting to the Clinical & Quality Manager, you will conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop and implement personalised care plans, and mentor PCAs within a multidisciplinary team.

Your role is pivotal in managing admissions, referrals, and care coordination, ensuring compliance with National Aged Care Quality Standards, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. You will contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and help uphold culturally safe care practices, fostering a respectful and community-focused workplace.

This position offers genuine long-term career growth, including pathways into senior or leadership roles as the service expands to meet the future needs of the region.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aged care nursing
  • Experience in aged care facilities and/or Aboriginal or remote community healthcare settings highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of culturally safe care practices for Aboriginal communities
  • Adaptable, resilient, and willing to embrace life in a remote community setting
  • Ability to provide two professional referees and pass a National Police Clearance prior to commencement
