Ryan Valentine’s career in recruitment started with a spur-of-the-moment application for a role linked to his beloved Preston North End football club. Seventeen years later, he leads Curamoir with the same mix of passion and team spirit that first drew him in.
After eight years in the UK specialising in high-volume industrial recruitment, Ryan moved to Australia in 2017, where he has led healthcare recruitment teams across Allied Health, Nursing, and Community Services. From supplying 200 temporary workers a day at peak times, to placing specialised healthcare professionals in remote communities, he’s built a reputation for designing smart recruitment strategies that solve complex workforce challenges.
As Managing Director, Ryan is most proud of the team he’s built at Curamoir. Together, Ryan and his colleagues share a passion for making a difference for clients, candidates, and communities alike. Known for being supportive, transparent, and process-driven, he’s a strong believer in leading from the front and living by his mum’s advice: treat others how you want to be treated.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find Ryan enjoying football, taking part in events like the City2Surf for charity and travel. And while he might grumble about the ups and downs of being a lifelong Preston North End supporter, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
