Our client has an exciting opportunity to lead an integrated team in their Family Services unit. Our client is a non-for-profit organisation that provides social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools, and agencies across the Northern Territory 

The Role:
As Team Leader of Counselling, Family and Parenting you will lead an integrated team to provide support and guidance to ensure staff deliver high quality, responsive case work and services, in line with contractual obligations, mandatory reporting legislation, and the needs of the community.

Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications are generally beyond those required through tertiary education alone, typically acquired through completion of higher education qualifications to degree level and extensive relevant experience;
  • Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive relevant experiences to an equivalent standard; or a combination of experience, expertise, and competence sufficient to perform, the duties required at this level.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report writing, case note writing supervision and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff, and stakeholders across a range pf diverse cultural groups and settings.
  • Experience in providing supervision to multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including case note writing 
  • Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people
