The Role:

Our client is seeking Speech Pathologists to join their team, providing vital support to primary and secondary school-aged clients in clinical and community settings. The role involves conducting 1:1 therapy sessions, leading group interventions, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary professionals. The focus will be on pediatric clients, including those under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Within a team of experienced Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists the role centers on delivering sustainable intervention services across educational settings like preschools, mainstream primary and secondary schools, and special school environments. The aim is to improve academic skills, enhance self-esteem, develop social competencies, and equip teachers with effective strategies to support student learning contexts.

The position offers flexible service models tailored to school needs, funded by the institution or parents. Responsibilities include child-focused interventions such as assessments, in-class sessions, and parent-funded individual therapy. Additionally, conducting parent workshops and providing teacher-focused support through demonstrations, workshops, and professional development initiatives is part of the role.

The Speech Pathologists responsibilities are diverse, allowing for the utilisation of various therapeutic methods to address individual student needs while fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Essential Criteria 
  • SPA Registration 
  • NSW Driver's Licence, WWCC & Police Check 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification 
  • Paediatric experience preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of the NDIS experience (preferred)
