The Role

The Role
As the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialised clinical assessments and recommendations to support individuals with disabilities. You will not be responsible for leading a team but will be required to supervise junior staff. Your duties will include:
- Assessing and prescribing assistive technology and home modifications to enhance independence, safety, and well-being.
- Conducting functional capacity assessments and collaborating with stakeholders to develop tailored support plans.
- Providing education and training on assistive technology to external stakeholders.
- Mentoring and providing clinical supervision to junior staff members.
- Contributing to service development and ensuring clinical best practices are upheld.
Essential Criteria
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Current registration with AHPRA and experience working with people with disabilities or assistive technologies.
- Experience in clinical leadership, supervision, and mentoring.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and initiative-taking skills.
- Passion for person-centered support and enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of assistive technology assessment and willingness to upskill in home modification assessment.
- Familiarity with the NDIS sector and advanced interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ICT, including databases and Microsoft Office suite applications.
