The Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead the operational delivery and quality assurance of trauma-informed therapeutic care services for children and young people in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading daily operations and performance across multiple programs
  • Providing supervision and support to Service Leaders
  • Overseeing compliance with OOHC and child protection legislation and standards
  • Supporting rostering, recruitment, onboarding, and professional development
  • Managing incidents, stakeholder relationships, audits, and service reviews
  • Embedding continuous improvement and evidence-based practice across the organisation
 

Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in OOHC, community, or social services
  • Proven leadership experience across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child protection legislation
  • Competence in operational planning, staff supervision, and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or related fields
  • Experience in NDIS service delivery
  • Qualifications or experience in therapeutic care or leadership
  • Ability to manage change and foster a high-performing team culture
