The role:
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding children and adolescents between 0-18 years of age, helping them regulate their sensory responses and achieve their maximum potential in physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Embracing our neurodiversity-centred approach, you will use play and adapted activities to tailor therapeutic interventions that respect and celebrate each child's unique strengths. Your work will be integral to fostering an inclusive environment where children and their families feel supported and empowered.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with families, recognizing them as active partners in their child's developmental journey. You will train parents to become co-therapists, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to continue their child's progress at home. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with families will be crucial in building strong, trusting relationships and ensuring that therapeutic strategies are seamlessly integrated into everyday life.
You will also have the opportunity to innovate and enhance our therapeutic practices by incorporating technology such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Your expertise in these cutting-edge tools will enable you to create engaging, effective interventions that captivate and motivate your clients. By leveraging these technologies, you will not only improve therapeutic outcomes but also contribute to the continuous evolution of our practice.
Our client prioritizes the well-being of their clients across all key dimensions of development: emotional, sensory, communicative, social, and academic. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will embody our philosophy of celebrating differences and fostering a safe, loving environment tailored to each child's needs. Your commitment to a family-centred, neurodiverse approach will ensure that every child you work with is valued for who they are and supported in reaching their full potential.
