The Role:

As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering assessments and interventions to aged care clients in their homes throughout the Midwest region. You will provide expert advice on mobility aids, assistive technologies, home exercise programmes, and falls prevention strategies. This role offers a unique balance of remote work and in-home client visits, with the support of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct person-centred assessments to evaluate mobility, functional capacity, and client goals.
  • Develop tailored home exercise and falls prevention programmes.
  • Provide expert advice on mobility aids and assistive technology to improve client outcomes.
  • Prepare professional reports and funding applications for assistive technology solutions.
  • Coordinate referrals, service delivery, and follow-up evaluations.
  • Work collaboratively with carers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • At least 12 months of experience, ideally in the aged care sector.
  • Strong clinical skills in physiotherapy, with a focus on mobility, assistive technology, and home-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client appointments.
