The role:

As an Occupational Therapist you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive and client-centred therapeutic services, particularly to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating therapy interventions and support plans that are evidence-based and tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of clients. Your role will demand a high level of clinical expertise, including the ability to conduct detailed assessments, develop clear and measurable objectives, and execute therapy sessions that engage and benefit the client.

Administratively, you will ensure that all documentation, including service agreements, support plans, and risk assessments, is up-to-date, thorough, and complies with NDIS requirements. Your role involves meticulous progress note management and the preparation of comprehensive reports for clients, referral sources, and other service providers. In this position will also liaises with a broad range of external and internal care providers to foster a consistent and holistic approach to client care, ensuring seamless service delivery across different settings.

Within the team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous professional development, sharing insights and feedback from discipline-specific professional development days and engaging in peer supervision sessions. You will actively participate in team meetings, contribute to the training of less experienced therapists and students, and coordinate student placements, thereby enriching the team’s collective knowledge and skills.

Furthermore, you will independently manage a caseload of clients with complex presentations, providing expert care and guidance with minimal support. You will utilise your problem-solving skills and ability to adapt therapeutic models to suit individual client needs, all while maintaining the highest standards of professional practice. Your role not only requires exceptional clinical skills but also demands strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated and integrated approach to care.



Essential Criteria:
  • Full AHPRA Registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Full Australian work rights
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Police check and Working with Children check (or ability to obtain these before commencing work).
