The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to oversee the design, delivery, and performance of psychological injury prevention and recovery services across multiple business units. The Head of Psychological Services will lead both clinical and operational teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based service delivery that drives functional and return-to-work outcomes for clients and patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design and execution of psychological programs aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across service lines.

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to grow psychological services and support commercial goals.

  • Overseeing financial performance, budgeting, and analysis to support decision-making.

  • Managing and mentoring a team of clinicians and support staff, fostering a high-performing and ethical work culture.

  • Contributing to strategic planning and service integration across the broader organisation.

  • Supporting customer success through close collaboration with business development and account management teams.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated capability in leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering talent development.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to translate organisational goals into operational success.

  • High emotional intelligence and communication skills to influence a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of WHS and compliance obligations relevant to health service delivery.
  • A clinical background in psychology or a related allied health field is preferred, along with experience working in occupational rehabilitation, injury prevention, or return-to-work programs.
