The Role

As the Facility Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Aged Care facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that exceed required standards. You will manage financial and human resources, foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring expenditure against the budget to achieve positive financial outcomes.
  • Providing contemporary leadership to care teams, promoting a professional focus, and encouraging innovation and change.
  • Overseeing quality improvement programs and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating data collection and audit processes, analysing results, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Managing feedback from residents and representatives to ensure a seamless end-to-end feedback process.
  • Implementing systems to monitor and respond to changes in residents' health conditions promptly.
  • Ensuring resources are managed fairly and consistently within budget while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Contributing to the development of annual capital works and preventive maintenance schedules.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working within the Aged Care sector.
  • At least 2 years of management expertise with exceptional leadership skills.
  • A high level of experience and knowledge of the Aged Care industry, including contemporary issues, legislation, regulatory compliance, and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • This role does not require AHPRA registration.
  • Post-graduate management qualification or progress toward such qualifications would be desirable
