The role:
As a Clinical Psychologist, your primary objective is to comprehensively understand and therapeutically address client presentations, fostering positive changes aligned with client goals. This pivotal role involves managing a substantial client case load, while delivering individual and relationship counselling using diverse therapy modalities. With a commitment to client well-being, you will respond to critical incidents, provide psychological first aid, and establish effective communication with relevant treating health professionals when necessary.

The complexity of the position extends beyond direct client care, encompassing psychometric assessments, comprehensive reporting, and the development of educational and therapeutic programs for individuals, couples, and families. In addition to maintaining a consistent case load, you will actively engage in group counselling sessions and conduct client intakes as needed. Your involvement may also extend to participation in clinical trials, necessitating a thorough understanding of current research in therapeutic practices central to the organisations mission.

Ensuring service quality is paramount, with responsibilities including the facilitation of in-house program development, adherence to legal and professional standards, and meticulous documentation in accordance with established protocols. Your commitment to continuous improvement is evident through active participation in staff meetings, regular clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development activities. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to research initiatives and collaborate with management on clinical outcomes, reflecting the ethos and ethical standards of Integrative Psychology. Essential Criteria
  • Postgraduate degree in Psychology
  • Full AHPRA Clinical Registration
  • General AHPRA Registration will be considered
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Experience providing individual, family and relationship counselling
  • Police Checke and WWCC
