The Job

As a Child Health Nurse, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive primary health care services in partnership with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilise the CARPA suite of standard treatment manuals to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Administer Medications and maintain accurate documentation, records, and health information systems.
  • Educate parents and families on health-related issues
 

Requirements

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse 
  • Experience working in remote communities, ideally in a Primary Health setting
  • Proven understanding of primary health care principles and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services
  • Respect for Aboriginal culture and the ability to practice in a culturally safe and appropriate manner.
  • Experience with electronic patient information management systems
  • Clear driver's licence
  • Police Check within 12 months (we can assist with this if you don't have one)
  • WA WWCC (we can assist with this)
  • Current certificates - ALS, REC, MEC & Pharmacotherapeutics desired but not essential.
  • Covid Vax
