The Role:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support services to participants across the lifespan. Depending on your level, you may join as a new practitioner building capability, a proficient practitioner working with increased autonomy, or an advanced practitioner supervising and mentoring others. The role includes conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing and implementing behaviour support plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life. You will have the opportunity to pursue passion projects, such as work in OOHC, university collaborations, or developing national resources. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Interest in or experience with Positive Behaviour Support and disability services
  • Relevant background in allied health, education, social sciences or disability (formal qualifications desirable but not mandatory for entry-level roles)
  • Eligibility for registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission (core, proficient, or advanced level)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple projects and caseloads
  • Willingness to participate in supervision, professional development and reflective practice
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check (NSW and VIC)
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
