About

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join their award-winning allied health team. This position also empowers the successful candidate to further develop professional and clinical skills, as well as leadership capabilities
Our client is a registered NDIS provider, delivering capacity building therapies to those with disability of any age. Furthermore, they are a reputable and accredited provider of injury prevention and management and disability employment services to government and corporate organisations. You will join a unique, person-centric service focused organisation that builds on independence in the most disadvantaged.

The Role

This role involves meeting with participants and their support network, conduct assessments , and develop behavioral support plans and programs. This role involves working with adults and on occasion with young adults. It will also involve:
  • Developing Functional Behavioural Assessments and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Providing direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions after assessment and diagnosis 
  • Providing training, support, and clinical supervision of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Behaviour Therapists
  • Using behavioural, psychological, and evidence-based theories to develop and implement program designs and interventions
  • Develop and maintaining professional relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Adhering to NDIS quality and safeguard commission requirements
Essential Criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support e.g., Positive Behaviour Support, Developmental Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science, Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Current registration within relevant professional body
  • Two years’ experience demonstrating positive behaviour support services. Or demonstrated complementary clinical competencies.
  • High-level of oral and written communication skills including the demonstrated ability to prepare and finalise technical reports
  • Compliance checks including the NDIS Workers Screening Check, National Criminal History Check, WWCC and NDIS Practitioner ID and Self-Assessment. Or meets the requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (Positive behaviour Support Capability Framework).
  • COVID19 Vaccination 
  • Valid Driver Licence
