The Organisation:

Our Client, a prominent non-profit within the community services sector, is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young individuals, children, and families.

The Role:

As a Team Leader, you will work closely with the Manager Casework to oversee a team of dedicated professionals, including Therapeutic Case Managers and Case Managers OOHC. Your role involves coordinating the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services to children, young people, their families, and caregivers.
This encompasses various areas, including foster care and aftercare support, voluntary out-of-home care, adoptions, guardianship, and restoration. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day operational management, ensuring staff support, meeting client needs, and fulfilling reporting obligations both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to staff in achieving permanency for children, young people, and families, including restoration, guardianship, and adoption, under the guidance of the Senior Manager Casework.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements in collaboration with the Manager Casework.
  • Assess team members' skills and provide ongoing guidance, support, coaching, and training to enhance staff capability and responsiveness to evolving client needs.

Criteria
  • A relevant degree in disciplines such as Social Work, Community Services, Teaching, Nursing, Psychology, or Family Therapy.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and supervisory skills, preferably gained through vocational training.
  • Experience in delivering quality assessment and case management services to at-risk families or children/young people in out-of-home care.
  • Proficiency in trauma-informed practice within an evidence-based framework.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging and leading discussions with stakeholders.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a well-maintained vehicle for work purposes.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
